College Consultants of Colorado Ethics Statement
Established in 2010, College Consultants of Colorado (CCC) is a consortium of independent educational consultants (IECs) whose professional training and backgrounds allow them to effectively serve students and their families with college planning. CCC members are required to belong to at least one of the following professional organizations and are expected to adhere to the ethical guidelines of the specific association/s:

Independent Educational Consultants Association
Higher Education Consultants Association
American Institute of Certified Educational Planners
Rocky Mountain Association for College Admissions Counseling
Independent Educational Consultants may help students and families with many aspects of the college planning process such as:
As in any industry, IECs have different levels of experience and expertise. While IECs cannot guarantee outcomes, families should seek out an IEC who has the student’s best interest at heart. They should also look for an IEC who has firsthand knowledge of colleges around the country and expertise in the complexities of college admissions, and who is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in their practice.
